Snackola is the brainchild of longtime granola afficionado, Andrea Ridout, Managing Partner of White Rock Granola. Andrea and her team of granola maniacs saw a need for a new snack size of granola that was easy to carry in a purse, lunchbox or backpack. Snackola is meant to be a healthier snack than candy or chips and provide a satisfying pick-me-up anytime of the day or night. Here's the full story...
Just about everyone loves granola but most folks think of it as a breakfast cereal. Dallas-based White Rock Granola is
shaking up this tried and true breakfast staple with its new Snackola brand of snacking granola that will beat the
munchies, anytime, day or night!
Created by former eco radio host (Mother Earth News Radio and Ask Andrea), Andrea Ridout, and her son, Frank, both passionate advocates for green living and healthy eating, Snackola is crafted with the finest plant-based ingredients and packaged in biodegradable materials, making it a planet-friendly choice for snack lovers everywhere.

Snackola is made with a blend of premium plant-based superfoods, including gluten-free rolled oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and coconut oil. Snackola is packaged in compostable resealable pouches made from plant-based plastic by Wildkind Packaging in
Austin, Texas. As Ridout explains, “Yes, it costs a bit extra to upgrade to bioplastic but we felt that it’s important for the planet and for all of us who live on it.”
Snackola’s packaging will further ramp up the company’s sustainability. Their facility is already powered by renewable
energy, they recycle and compost their production waste and utilize other eco-friendly practices. Ridout adds, “We hope to inspire other companies to do the same.”
White Rock Granola also has a history of donating products to first responders, homeless communities, and others in
need. A portion of Snackola sales will continue to further those efforts and the biodegradable bags just make that even more sustainable.
